Abstracts of scientific presentations (both basic and clinical research) as well as clinical presentations (case series, innovative surgical or therapeutic approaches,…) may now be submitted for consideration.

Only online abstract submissions before Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 12:00 CET+1 will be accepted. Hard copies of abstracts will not be accepted.

Abstracts may be submitted for following presentation types and topics:

Themed Oral: These are oral communications focused on a specific topic scheduled in a session chaired by an expert – submissions of high quality relating to the theme will be selected.

Periodontal Medicine
Periodontal systemic interactions
Aetiology and pathogenesis
Diagnosis and Risk factors

Other Oral: are all other oral communications.

Host microbial interactions
Antimicrobial treatment
Biology of Periodontal regeneration
Clinical periodontal regeneration
Periodontal plastic surgery
Periodontal clinical trials
Basic science in implant dentistry
Complications of implant therapy
Clinical trials in implant dentistry
Grafting/augmentation procedures in implant dentistry

Perio Posters:

Basic Research: Aetiology and Pathogenesis
Clinical Research: Diagnosis and risk factors
Clinical Research: Periodontal Therapy
Clinical Research: Epidemiology and delivery of care
Clinical Research: Periodontal systemic interactions

Authors can submit one abstract. During the submission process, authors may indicate their preferred presentation type (Themed Oral, Other Oral, Perio Posters or Implant Dentistry Posters). The final decision in regards to the presentation type, however, will be taken by the International Abstract Committee.

Abstracts will be approved according to their scientific/clinical merit and should be based on previously unpublished data. Abstracts may be submitted in English only. Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author to register to and present at the Conference if accepted.

Abstract acceptance and programme scheduling will be communicated to the submitting author’s e-mail address.

Authors will be able to draft the abstracts online and may return to the site to edit the texts of the abstracts if necessary. Authors are free to finalize their texts and submit their abstracts at any time before Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 12:00 CET+1. No changes can be made after this deadline.

Notification of acceptance and information regarding presentations will be forwarded to the authors immediately after the reviewing process by e-mail. Latest notification date: Tuesday, February 14, 2012.
